The days seem to be getting shorter and a chill is returning to the evening air. It can only mean one thing ...autumn is here!
It's time to clean up the yard and prepare your home for the colder months. Remember to get out there and enjoy the show of colours that nature provides for us this time of year.
What's Your Plan?
Is your dental plan based on the calendar year? Your coverage maximums start over on January 1 and your unused benefits may not roll over into the New Year. That means if you don't use them they will go to waste!
There are many reasons that you should be visiting our office on a scheduled basis. Early detection of problems, your cleaning and hygiene regimen and don't forget oral cancer screening to name a few.
If we haven't seen your smile in a while call us today to book an appointment or better yet you can request an appointment from the computer you are sitting at right now!
Remember to be extra careful on the roads and have a safe and healthy month,
The team @ Keele and Finch Dental Office

Proper oral hygiene is important not only for your appearance, but also for your overall health. Improper oral hygiene may lead to infection, gum disease, bone and tooth loss, circulation and cardiovascular disease, and even strokes.
Why is cleaning part of good oral hygiene?
Oral Cancer
As part of the cleaning, you are also screened for oral cancer, which is curable if diagnosed and treated early.
Gum Disease
If gum disease is diagnosed early, it can be reversed through treatment. Gum disease is caused by infection in the gum tissue and bone, eventually leading to tooth loss. Regular dental cleanings - and check ups - help to prevent gum disease.

These little guys are so easy to make!
All you will need is a food processor and some basic ingredients. What we also love about this recipe is that it is simple and does not involve baking. You can also substitute ingredients and get creative every time you make them.
If you or your child has nut allergies, you can use a seed based butter instead of almond butter you can also use pureed dates or figs. You also have the option of putting in all kinds of super foods like goji berries, spirulina powder, raw cacao etc.
