October 2009 - Tips, eNews and More!

The days seem to be getting shorter and a chill is returning to the evening air. It can only mean one thing ...autumn is here!

It's time to clean up the yard and prepare your home for the colder months. Remember to get out there and enjoy the show of colours that nature provides for us this time of year.

October means that Halloween is just around the corner. This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, meaning there will likely be many Halloween parties to attend with family and friends. Whether you are hosting a get together, attending one, or are just looking for a treat, we've included a recipe that you can be proud to offer or enjoy on your own.

What's Your Plan?
Is your dental plan based on the calendar year?Your coverage maximums start over on January 1 and your unused benefits may not roll over into the New Year.

That means if you don't use them they will go to waste!

There are many reasons that you should be visiting our office on a scheduled basis. Early detection of problems, your cleaning and hygiene regimen and don't forget oral cancer screening to name a few.

If we haven't seen your smile in a while call us today to book an appointment or better yet you can request an appointment from the computer you are sitting at right now!

Remember to be extra careful on the roads and
have a safe and healthy month,

Dr. Larry Podolsky, Dr. Howard Rosen and staff.

Mind the Gap!
Are you hesitant to show your teeth when you smile?
Is your smile missing something?
Maybe even a full tooth!

Many people, for one reason or another, have lost a tooth. Reasons range from poor dental hygiene to any variety of accidents.

Whatever the reason for the missing tooth we can repair your smile and replace your tooth with a dental implant.

Chocolate Coconut-Almond Bliss Balls
These little guys are so easy to make! All you will need is a food processor and some basic ingredients.

What we also love about this recipe is that it is simple and does not involve baking. You can also substitute ingredients and get creative every time you make them.

If you or your child has nut allergies, you can use a seed based butter instead of almond butter you can also use pureed dates or figs. You also have the option of putting in all kinds of super foods like goji berries, spirulina powder, raw cacao etc.
