The kids are back from camp, day programs and summer vacations are coming to an end. The time for shopping for school supplies and getting back into a routine has arrived.

Even if there are no little ones around the house many of our routines tend to be a bit more flexible in the summer months. Whether you are heading back to school, back to work, or have been at your desk all summer, now is a great time to come in for a check up and cleaning!




Many universities and post secondary institutions offer health plans that include dental coverage.

A common problem that patients complain about is sensitive teeth. One of the avoidable causes of sensitive teeth that is truly 'in your hands' is aggressive brushing.
Many people are under the misconception that brushing harder with a firm bristled tooth brush will better clean their teeth.

This, coupled with an improper brushing technique (using a back and forth motion) can damage enamel, exposing dentin and resulting in tooth sensitivity.

If you have been thinking about joining a gym, a league or organized activity, it may be easier to work into your schedule now before the winter temperatures add an obstacle.

Once an activity is in your routine you are more likely to keep it there!
