The early storms of the season seem to have given way to some beautiful weather. Hopefully you've been able to take our advice regarding going for a walk after lunch, stretching at your desk, and remembering your sunscreen!

Here's another piece of advice that we're sure you've heard before, drink plenty of water!

This advice is especially important if you are engaged in activities in the summer heat.

While there are many opinions regarding how much water you should be drinking, chances are you are currently not getting enough.

Keep a glass of water at your desk all day. You will find yourself reaching for it more often than you expect. It will also give you a reason to take a break and refill it throughout the day.

Drinking water helps to properly hydrate you, cleanse your body and rinse bacteria from your mouth as you drink!

Do the gaps between your teeth make you self-conscious?
Will braces interfere with your professional life?
Are repeat visits to our offices unlikely to fit your schedule?

Who loves candy?
I know I do!
I love hard candy, gummies, chocolate, I love it all!

You've been told time and time again that candy causes tooth decay, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the occasional treat.

If you are going to indulge, there are some things you can do to limit the damage done to your teeth.

  • Avoid biting down on hard candy
  • Stay away from sticky toffees and candy
  • Choose healthy snacks (your body will appreciate this tip as well)
  • Drink water throughout the day
  • Brush your teeth after every meal (even at work)
  • Bring enough for everyone
Remember, if you're going to snack, and only candy will fill the craving, protect your teeth, you can worry about your waist line when you hit the gym tonight!
