Help Us Help Others!

From November 15th – December 15th, our office will be hosting a food and toy drive, in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank and Sick Kids Hospital.

For toy donations, we request that all donations be brand new and packaged.

Please visit this link for a list of beneficial toys and items for the hospital.

For food donations, we request canned and dried food.
Some of the most needed items on the Daily Bread Food Bank's list include: peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, dried pasta and tomato sauce, lentils and
beans, powdered or canned milk, baby formula and baby food, canned fish and meat, rice, cans of soup or hearty stew, and surprisingly, mac n' cheese.

Please help us, if you can, to spread the holiday spirit to those who would benefit the most!

Everything you Wanted to Know About your INSURANCE,
but were afraid to ask!
What is dental insurance and how does it work?
Dental insurance is a contract between a dental insurance company and your employer. The benefits you receive are based on the terms of the contract that are negotiated between your employer and the dental insurance company. Our dental office has no input into your coverage.

What is covered under my dental plan?
What procedures are covered under a dental plan varies according to the individual plan. The bottom line is that your dental plan may not cover some of the services that you may need or want.
Your dental plan does not take into account your individual dental needs.

Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile, which is not necessarily the goal of your insurance company. Dental insurance companies rarely cover 100% of any dental fee and in many cases, cover less than 50% or nothing at all.

Dental plans will also limit their coverage of major procedures (such as crowns and bridges), in order to control their costs. Usually, cosmetic dentistry procedures (such as veneers) are excluded entirely.

How much will my insurance company cover?

Is Chewing Gum Good for Your Teeth?
Are you ready for this?
Chewing gum is actually good for your teeth!

But wait a moment ...let's clarify a little.
If you are out and about and do not have access to a toothbrush and toothpaste, chewing gum is the second-best alternative to brushing your teeth.

There is one reservation: the sugar issue.
If you chew only while the sugar lasts and then throw it away, you will get a sugar attack on your teeth and won't see the benefits. But if you chew it for longer, it helps clean your teeth.

Gum does two things.
