Is your smile all that it can be or is there something missing?
Many people have a missing tooth in the back of their mouth and feel as though, if no one can see it, it's not a problem. This is not entirely true.
While you may not see that missing tooth as causing problems, you run the risk of the surrounding teeth drifting out of position and doing visible harm. Missing teeth also cause your surrounding teeth and gums to become far more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease. One of the solutions we can offer patients with missing teeth is called a dental bridge.
What is a dental bridge?
A dental bridge is a false tooth, known as a pontic. It can be used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges can do many things, including reducing your risk of gum disease, help to correct minor bite issues and can even improve your speech.
Is a dental bridge right for you?

Ontario's newest holiday, Family Day, takes place on February 16th. With all of the snow we have had it's the perfect time to get out and take advantage of Ontario's winter climate. Check out all of the things you and your family can enjoy here.
If Wiarton Willie is right we will be enjoying this weather for the long-haul. For those of you who are believers in the Groundhog Day tradition, Willie saw his shadow predicting six more wintery weeks to go!
Did you know?
Groundhogs, also called Woodchucks are part of the rodent family. As such their teeth grow continuously back toward the roof of their mouths creating a risk of becoming embedded. This creates a need to constantly gnawing on wood or hard objects to keep their teeth sharp and at a manageable length.
Across Canada there are other groundhogs whose predictions have become part of this tradition of prognostication. They include Nova Scotia's Schubenacadie Sam, Ontario's Gary the Groundhog, Brandon Bob of Manitoba and Alberta's Balzac Billy.
