June 2009 - Sunshine Edition
Hopefully the gorgeous weather outside has given us a preview of what summer has to offer.

This year summer officially begins on June 21. Patio season is ideal for getting together with family and friends, creating countless photo opportunities. If you are interested in bringing out your most beautiful smile for the summer months give us a call or request an appointment here. Now is a great time to discuss the smile of your dreams!
Did you know?
June 21st is the summer solstice, having the longest period of daylight during the year in our hemisphere. If you are looking for a reason to get outside around lunch time, try this: if you look at your shadow outdoors at noon on the 21st, it will be your shortest 'noontime' shadow of the year...That's worth a look!
Summer Break?
If you are planning a trip or your children are getting ready to travel over the summer break, now is a great time to come in for periodontal maintenance and oral cancer screening.
Remember, a break from your regular schedule should not include a break from proper oral hygiene!
Have a great month and Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there,
Dr. Freedman and the Team at BDHC

Are you hesitant to show your teeth when you smile?
Is your smile missing something?
Maybe even a full tooth!
Many people, for one reason or another, have lost a tooth. Reasons range from poor dental hygiene to any variety of accidents. Whatever the reason for the missing tooth we can repair your smile and replace your tooth with a dental implant.
A dental implant is a small prosthetic post that is placed into the bone of the upper or lower jaw. The post functions as the root portion of a lost natural tooth and serve as an anchor for a replacement tooth. An artificial tooth is then attached to the post. Dental implants look and feel exactly like natural teeth - in fact, no one other than you and your dentist will be able to tell the difference.
What are the benefits of Dental Implants?

A first visit to your new visit should run as smoothly and conveniently as possible.
Our team is here to help you in all aspects of your visit, from overcoming old fears, updating your information and dealing with your insurance company.
To help ensure your visit is as complete and fulfilling as possible, you should be prepared with a few details when you arrive:
- If have just moved into the neighborhood or are switching to a new dentist for any reason, have your previous dentist's contact info available
- If you have dental coverage, have your insurance card with you or have you insurance company name, policy number, and your member/employee number available
To ensure that you are comfortable with your dentist and the staff write down any comments or questions you have regarding, their practice, dental procedures, and especially your oral health.
Being prepared will aim you in the right direction and ensure that your oral health concerns are all addressed.
