Did you know?
June 21st is the summer solstice, having the longest period of daylight during the year in our hemisphere.

Summer Break?
If you are planning a trip or your children are getting ready to travel over the summer break, now is a great time to come in for a cleaning and a check-up! Remember, a break from your regular schedule should not include a break from proper oral hygiene!

Have a great month,

Neil Hahn D.D.S. and
the High Park Dental Care Team

More than 40 percent of children have tooth decay by the time they reach kindergarten. This statistic is alarming!

You've worked hard to take care of your child, from late night doctor visits to changing diapers; wouldn't it be nice not to worry about tooth decay? Your child's oral health care should start early!

You should schedule your child's first dental visit when the child is between 2 and 3 year's old. It is important to check those baby teeth as they decay easily.

A first visit should run as smoothly and conveniently as possible.

Our team is here to help you in all aspects of your visit, from overcoming old fears, updating your information and dealing with your insurance company.

To help ensure your visit is as complete and fulfilling as possible, you should be prepared with a few details when you arrive:
  • If have just moved into the neighborhood or are switching to a new dentist for any reason, have your previous dentist's contact information available
  • If you have dental coverage, have your insurance card with you or have your insurance company name, policy number, and your member/employee number available
To ensure that you are comfortable with your dentist and the staff write down any comments or questions you have regarding their practice, dental procedures, and especially your oral health.

Being prepared will aim you in the right direction and ensure that your oral health concerns are all addressed.
