The End of the Year is Near! The start of the school year and the return of colder temperatures signals the closing of the year. Many people begin to focus on Christmas, even now. For many companies and people, end of the year or Christmas party planning starts now. However, we sometimes forget to plan for our dental health needs as the year comes to a close. Most people have dental insurance plans that will be ending soon or ending at the fiscal year end of December 31st. In numerous instances, we receive calls from our existing patients or new patients asking us to complete work before year end so that they can make use of their yearly benefits which usually don't roll over to the new year. More often than we'd like to see, these calls come too late in the year to make use of the patient's benefits. When it comes to cleaning your teeth or doing simple fillings, it's easier to fit your needs into our schedule before year end. However, when a tooth needs a crown (see our website for more information on what this is), root canals, gum grafting or even orthodontic work, time is of the essence. We need to protect your teeth from preventable damage and we are happy to help you decipher your insurance coverage if you have concerns.
