After a long hard winter, and a not-so-fantastic spring, we're all looking forward to a great summer!

We hope that you enjoy your time in the sun and any vacations you might take during this time.

As a reminder for these summer months, please be aware of your allergies and how they affect your breathing and overall oral health and systemic health. This is especially pertinent to the variable weather we are currently experiencing now. Note that antihistamines may also contribute to dryness.

Clogged nasal passage ways can inhibit correct breathing patterns causing mouth breathing and dry mouth which leads to plaque build up. Try a nasal sea salt mist or a Neti Pot with sea salt (check out your local drug or natural health store) to help clear your sinuses for better breathing.

Remember at the end of the day that pollen stays on you and your clothes. So if you're at high risk for allergies, a night time shower may help you sleep better with less pollen and lowered aggravation of your allergy symptoms!

Again, everyone at Midtown hopes you have a great start to the summer!
